The

Socialist World

1920-1925

The Socialist World newspaper was the closest thing to an official organ of the Socialist Party of America in the 1920s. Officially edited by Eugene V. Debs for the few years leading up to his death, this paper was published weekly out of Chicago. It ceased publishing in October 1925 and was merged with The New Leader a SPA publication out of New York City. The direct descendent of Socialist World also published by the SPA and edited by Debs, was American Appeal.

The scans are from original bound volumes but of limited quality due to their age. Digitization of Socialist World was carried out by the Riazanov Library Project.
